- about
- This was one of the first tracks I ever produced. I produced it in this jenky little free program called "Moonfish." I eventually rearranged it and fixed it up in FL Studio, but most of it remained the same. I wanted to see if I could make an entire song using just one instrument, and I did. I used the same string sample on different notes with different effects, etc. throughout the whole song.
The title was attempting to represent the "Southwest" style of hip hop. At the time I made the song, each region of the country was developing it's very own sound and gaining notoriety from their style. I wouldn't say this song represents the entire "Southwest's" style or sound, but I would say the Southwest is steadily improving and developing a regional culture of its own.
