This is the stand-out track of Pre-Algebra. I got the sample from an old western movie. Getting the screams in the hook and at the end were pretty difficult. I had to cut a James Brown sample up into a tiny slice, then duplicate that slice so I could extend the scream for as long as I needed it.
Originally, the chorus was going to be something entirely different and kinda lame. But the track was taking forever to get done, so I was about to just settle on the weak chorus. After a week or so of trying to come up with something, the hook finally came to my mind. Alot of people have mentioned to me how catchy it is. I wanted people to realize what was happening to hip hop and to American culture in general and to stop being passive about it. Stand up for what we believe in and make our voices heard. I had watched a documentary about the Christian event "Battle Cry" and it really inspired me to write this chorus.
